Interoperable applications leverage the use of data contained in MRTDs and from other sources. They integrate law enforcement and inter-agency aspects into border control, including by making use of API and PNR, with the end goal of enhancing traveler identification and risk assessment of travelers. Interoperable applications assist border management to expedite the increased flow of passengers, including through partial or full automation of passenger identification processes. Experts from various regions of the world will share their experience and good practices, with a focus on comprehensive border control and management systems, use of passenger data for border clearance and risk-bases analysis, as well as verification of digital visas.
