Vancouver is a transoceanic hub for the Americas and Asia, handling more than 24 million flights annually. Indra is developing the world’s most advanced digital apron control system, based on their digital tower solution with IRTOS and InNOVA, which integrates A‑SMGCS Level 3. This means Vancouver will be at the forefront of apron control digitalisation as soon as the system becomes operational. The new solution enhances communication and coordination of aircraft movements, significantly improving safety through greater situational awareness. In addition, a single HMI can control all tower and auxiliary systems seamlessly, providing greater operational consistency and clarity.
