Assistance to Aircraft Accident Victims and their Families
This Session will discuss implementation of States’ legislation, regulations, policies and procedures
related to family assistance and relationship between insurance companies and victims, families and
airlines. It will also discuss which mechanisms are existing to assist Member States in developing family
assistance plans to support aircraft accident victims and their families, by notably highlighting both the
most expeditious procedures practical to facilitate the movement of family members and authorized
representatives of the operator and the best practices for insurance companies.
