Scaling up and financing the production of sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) to meet net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 requires a multi-faceted approach involving industry stakeholders, governments, and financial institutions. This panel will explore the challenges faced by the industry to scale up and finance the production of SAF. The necessary steps to accelerate the adoption of SAF will be covered including financing of projects, enabling policies and increased production capabilities, ensuring that all ICAO Member States and stakeholders have the opportunities to develop and grow SAF production in order to deliver the needed paradigm shift in CO2 reductions for international aviation.
