Air Traffic Services Guidance for Operations in a COVID-19 Context
09-Jun-2020
Despite the fact that there is currently a significant reduction in air operations, the provision of air traffic services continues to be a fundamental part of the essential supply chain that enables us to face the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is expected that the gradual reactivation of operations will be carried out in an environment in which the threat from the COVID-19 contagion is still relevant. Consequently, the ICAO NACC Regional Office has taken the initiative to compile this material with the objective of providing information to States that may not be readily available or dispersed in previously prepared documents.
Speaker: Mr. Eddian Méndez is an aviation professional with over 20 years of experience in increasingly responsible positions in the provision, supervision and oversight of Air Navigation Services.
Mr. Méndez started his aviation career as an Air Traffic Controller and was rated for tower, non-Radar and RADAR approach and area control.
