As the aviation sector accelerates its transition towards achieving its Long Term Aspirational Goal (LTAG) of net-zero carbon emissions—and collectively pursues the global Vision to reduce CO₂ emissions from international aviation by 5 percent by 2030 through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Lower Carbon Aviation Fuel (LCAF), and other cleaner energy sources—scaling up SAF development has become critical.
Developing bankable SAF project proposals involves navigating a range of technical, financial, and regulatory complexities. In this session, participants will hear from experts from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), the UK Department for Transport’s Advanced Fuels Fund, and Twelve (a producer of eFuels) as they share how they support SAF development, align with national priorities, mitigate risks, and insights into the preparation and assessment of robust project proposals.
