This session will focus on the underlying processes and protocols related to identification management to support secure and integral document issuance for passports, visas, and identity cards. Session 2 will highlight the ICAO approach on Evidence of Identity and the important role of civil registries in supporting the TRIP component Document Issuance and Control to prevent fraud during issuance, thereby enhancing the trustworthiness and reliability of travel documents. The speakers will highlight best practice to support issuance of travel and identity documents, the ICAO Evidence of Identity approach and the concept of legal identity.
