The President of the Air Crash Victims' Families' Federation International highlights that in addition to the effort and work done every day in memory of deceased relatives, it was very important to fight against oblivion and to establish one day in a year dedicated to the Memory of the Victims and Survivors of Air Accidents, at the international level.

The ACVFFI president thanks the President of the ICAO Council, Mr. Sciacchitano, and the ICAO Secretary-General, Mr. Salazar, for their involvement in the victims' assistance and to all the Representatives of the Council who supported this commemoration.
