Presented by ICAO
Speaker: Ms. Connie Hart and Ms. Elizabeth Gnehm
Integrated Risk Management (IRM) aims to understand and manage risks and opportunities across all aviation domains — safety, security, environment, facilitation, and economics. This Skytalk introduces what IRM is, why it matters, and how it can strengthen organizational decision-making and resilience across the global aviation system. The session highlights real-world challenges related to IRM that have resulted in Recommendations from the ICAO 13th Air Navigation Conference and 2nd High-level Conference on Aviation Security, as well as Assembly Resolutions A41-11 and A41-25. It also outlines the role of the newly established IRM Study Group (IRM SG). Participants will gain a clear understanding of the importance of tackling risk management using a more integrated, multi-domain approach and what ICAO is doing to progress this area of work.
