In this SkyTalk, Vicky Princz from the Capacity Development and Implementation (CDI) Bureau and RC Raman from the Air Navigation Bureau (ANB) highlight the essential role of training in enabling the implementation of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). Using a new course on Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) as a case study, the talk demonstrates how targeted training addresses the implementation challenges created by new Standards and supports effective compliance. This joint CDI-ANB initiative underscores how well-designed training, developed through close collaboration between technical and implementation teams, ensures relevance, operational impact, and responsiveness to the needs of States and industry.
