Trained, qualified, and competent inspectors play a critical role in supporting a State's capacity to provide effective oversight of aviation. Effective recruitment, training, and retention processes are essential for attracting qualified personnel to inspector roles, reducing turnover, and ultimately contributing to the safe operation of the aviation system. This session will provide an overview of strategies and best practices throughout the lifecycle of an inspector, starting with recruitment, that contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection and oversight functions, while contributing to the inspector's well-being and job satisfaction.
