Facilitation of seamless travel through one’s journey has been a focus of aviation for many years, with rapid traveler throughput leading to operational efficiencies and enhanced passenger experience. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to increased attention towards touchless processing. Implementation of seamless and contactless travel tends to involve use of secure digital credentials for information attestation, intelligent data sharing, consent-based use of biometric data, and reorientation of operational processes. In this panel, developers and policy makers from government and industry will consider how they have worked together to innovatively implement new models for more efficient traveler processing through airports.
