Improving efficiency, sustainability, and capacity of the airspace of a Flight Information Region (FIR) requires the collaboration of multiple stakeholders. The automation systems used by airspace users and multiple FIRs across a region must interoperate to share flight data and constraints in order to achieve these goals. We will discuss how a time-based flow management system can interoperate with other air traffic management systems through open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to improve efficiency and capacity for the entire region.
