Nicole Hogg, SITA’s Portfolio Director - Baggage, explains that post-pandemic staff shortages, coupled with the surge in travel, have led to operational challenges related to demand, delays, airport capacity and baggage handling resources. As a result, many passengers are extremely anxious about missing or mishandled baggage.
Fortunately, airlines are paying attention and are turning to SITA’s digitalization and automation solutions to ensure they have full, real-time visibility and intimate management of every bag.
