Strategies for Better Integrating Standards Making and Support to States
Air Navigation Commission •
Presenter: Michael Brown of The ICAO’s Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau
Narrative for advertising the event: ICAO’s place in the global aviation community demands not only excellence in the creation of technical standards but also a commitment to supporting Member States in achieving their implementation goals. Success with these lies in our ability to predict where implementation challenges will occur, quantify the impacts of those challenges and identify strategies for addressing both. This session will focus on strategies for predicting implementation challenges earlier in the standards development process, allowing ICAO to better integrate its implementation support (e.g., resource mobilization and product development) and standards-making activities.
